Position Summary:

Osprey Software seeks a full-time Software Engineer in the Boston, MA area. Telecommuting is permitted. In this role, the Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications to support our technical capabilities.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into software development.
• Communicate project progress and updates to clients, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.
• Respond to requests from the Development team.
• Maintain code, implement bug fixes, and document work.
• Conduct development and unit testing.
• Maintain and improve codebases and participate in peer reviews.
• Investigate and incorporate new technologies where relevant.
• Read, consume, and contribute to technical designs leading to implementation.
• Conduct performance analysis within code or SQL queries.
• Provide written knowledge transfer documentation.
• Provide estimates in task planning for assigned applications, functional areas, or projects.
• Ability to present to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 12 months of experience as a Customer Service Representative.
• Certificates as a Python Developer and Mendix Rapid Developer.

Compensation:

Annual Salary: $147,846
